Students in fifth grade used Merge Cubes to discover augmented reality. Augmented reality is an interactive experience that inserts a computer generated image in the real-world environment. Students were able to go inside a human body and construct three-dimensional buildings.
Students in Mrs. Vail's class used Flipgrid to record book trailers. This video discussion platform allows students to record videos, view classmates' videos and respond with a video. Students read Hank the Cowdog books and created trailers recommending their books.
Dash and Dot Robots
Elementary students are getting familiar with our Dash and Dot robots. Students use iPads to drive the robots, make them change color, create sounds, and record their voices. As we continue to learn with these robots, students will use their coding skills to manipulate them.
Students in Mrs. Plassman's class took a virtual field trip to the Galapagos Islands! We have a set of thirty virtual reality goggles for our students to use. Teachers can guide students on virtual reality trips almost anywhere in the world.
