National Honor Society

National Honor Society is an organization for high school students in grades 11 and 12 who meet the academic and character requirements set by the national organization and who are approved by the faculty. National Junior Honor Society is the organization at the middle school level.

The four main purposes of the organization are: "To create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote  leadership, and to develop character in the students of secondary schools" (from the NHS constitution).

Students are required to maintain their grade point level at 3.5 for high school and 3.75 for middle school.

Students participate in blood drives, Christmas for Kids, the senior citizen breakfast, and other service opportunities both at school and in the community. They also provide a donut bar for the entire school on Friday mornings.
